Two settings shape how your intern shows up: its persona (who it is and how it sounds) and its rules (what it always does or never does). Set them once and they apply to every conversation and action.

Persona

The persona defines your intern’s identity and voice — its name, tone, and personality. It’s how the intern sounds when it writes an email, replies in a group, or talks to you directly.
Set your persona: friendly and concise, a little witty, never stiff or corporate.
Change your name to Alex.
When writing on my behalf, match my casual tone and keep things short.

Rules

Rules are standing instructions your intern obeys automatically, without being reminded each time:
Always keep emails under 150 words.
Always BCC my assistant on external emails.
Never send anything on my behalf without showing me first.

Viewing and Editing

What rules do I have set?
Remove the rule about BCC'ing my assistant.
You can manage both persona and rules from the Settings page in the web app, or just talk to your intern.

How They Interact with Memory

Persona and rules are durable preferences applied to everything. They live alongside Memory & Project Data, which holds the facts and context your intern remembers about you and your work.
Start with one or two rules that matter most. Adding too many at once can pull your intern in conflicting directions.
